What is the Valorant Battle Pass?
The Valorant Battle Pass is Riot's recurring progression track for each act or season. It combines a premium reward path, a free reward path, and an epilogue section that extends progression after the main milestones.
Structure
The broad pattern is chaptered progression — a premium track anchored around cosmetics, and a smaller free track available to non-paying players. The exact reward layout varies by contract.
XP Milestones
| Milestone | XP Required |
|---|---|
| Tier 1-50 | ~980,000 XP |
| Each epilogue tier | 36,500 XP |
| Tier 55 completion | ~1,162,500 XP |
Typical XP Sources
| Source | XP |
|---|---|
| Daily mission | 2,000 XP |
| Weekly mission | 10,000-15,000 XP |
| Spike Rush | ~1,000 XP |
| Unrated / Competitive | match-dependent |
Practical Completion Advice
Complete Daily Missions
Daily missions are the most reliable source of predictable progress. Missing them consistently is usually what puts a pass out of reach.
Prioritize Weekly XP
Weekly missions typically carry the biggest XP spikes. Clear them early so you do not stack avoidable grind pressure into the last week.
Play on a Schedule
A few shorter sessions each week usually beats irregular marathon sessions because it keeps daily progress and mission cadence intact.
Wait Before Buying Tiers
If you plan to spend VP on tiers, wait until the end of the pass so you only pay for the exact gap you did not close through play.
Is it worth buying?
If you consistently play enough to finish most of the track, the pass is usually the best cosmetic value in Valorant. If you rarely complete progression systems, buying late in the act is the more rational choice.
